When life is tricky, our mind automatically gravitates to noticing what is ‘wrong’ or ‘bad’. To restore our sense of wellbeing, we need to learn to deliberately turn our attention towards sources of relaxation and calm - training our attention to tune into what is ‘ok’ and ‘here now’. This Cosmic Breathing Visualisation exercise, taught to me by Martin Aylward, uses the brain’s capability to ‘believe’ what it imagines and find some peace amidst the turbulence of life.
